What a delightful afternoon! Once again we were treated to a guitar concert by Victor Balaguer. On his accoustic guitar he played a relaxing mixture of traditional (mostly Spanish) music and his own compositions. He is such a personable young man, easy to talk to and easy to ask questions to. He stayed for coffee and cake, seeming to enjoy talking with us and enjoying Lesley’s Battenberg Cake*) and others.  He also told us where we can find him on You Tube: Victor’s Guitar Inspiration . This is complete with videos and his music in the background, very inspirational and soothing. well worth checking it out. We agreed that we would like to have Victor back at least once a year.
*) In case you don’t know the Battenberg Cake it was invented in 1884 for the occasion of the marriage of Prince Ludwig Alexander von Battenberg to the German Princess Viktoria.
