19 ladies enjoyed another presentation by our member Lene who is an artist herself. Under the heading “You don’t say no to Asgar Jorn” she introduced us to the most famous Danish painter of the 20th century (1914 – 1973) by leading us through his professional and his private life. We found it extremely interesting and also astonishing that he became famous in Denmark only after his death. At the end of the day I personally was left with deep admiration for his work and the developmentof his art during the years and different places of work but also a bit disturbed by his attitude towards women.
