Finally, after a break of 2 years, we had our Christmas lunch, at Consilium in Cologne. 2020 and 2021 this had to be cancelled due to covid. So we were very much looking forward to this, and we weren‘t disappointed. Our ever-energetic programme organizers, Katie and Linda, had chosen a nice menu for us, with 4 choices, plus a soup or salad, and 2 desserts. We toasted to the holiday season with a  glass of Sekt, offered to us, compliments of the house. The restaurant is convenient to reach, near the Rathaus, and it’s comfortable and festively decorated inside. Several members had to cancel due to illness, but 16 attended. Judging from the feedback, the food was enjoyed by everyone, and we had time to catch up with friends. We also had the chance to update our guest book, which Lesley always embellishes with her drawings. So good to see Lesley back on her feet, after her bout with covid and now with long covid. All in all, it was a delightful afternoon, ending with lots of good wishes for Christmas and the New Year. We‘re looking forward to an eventful, interesting 2023, beginning with an IN- meeting on Jan.11, 2023.
