What a very special afternoon! 75 years after it was founded by British Officers’ wives, the Cosmopolitan Ladies Club of Cologne celebrated this very delightful occasion at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Cologne, with an’opulent coffee, tea and cake buffet. With the magnificent view of the cathedral and the city, the restaurant at the Hyatt provided a unique environment for the Club’s Anniversary. 27 members as well as our special guest Graham Sutherland, one of our favourite speakers, attended. Since many of them had not seen each other for a long time, the room was full of “catching up” and laughter from the very start. It was hard to interrupt the ladies to take a group photo. After all ladies found their places, our Chairperson Barbara gave a lively and touching welcome speehc, ending, of course, with a toast! The champagne, the delicious varieties of cakes, scones with clotted cream and jam as well as the professional friendliness and hospitality of the hotel staff made this celebration really special. Everybody attending the 75th Anniversary Party thanked Linda for arranging this wonderful OUT Meeting and agreed to look forward to meeting again for our 80th Anniverary at the same place!
